Enabling a Smooth 1P - 3P Transition While Unlocking Scalable Marketplace Growth
In partnering with Pattern, Weider aimed to execute a seamless transition from a 1P to a 3P model by rapidly onboarding inventory and maintaining revenue momentum throughout the shift. At the same time, the brand sought to clean up the seller landscape by increasing buy box ownership and reducing reseller disruption, while strengthening compliance to recover delisted ASINs and accelerate new product launches across priority marketplaces.

Pattern guided Weider through a smooth, controlled shift from 1P to 3P, minimising disruption at every step. The team sold down 1P inventory and moved products to 3P control in phases, minimising out-of-stock periods and sales loss. Top sellers were prioritised to protect revenue, while Pattern’s Repricer Tool was used, in collaboration with our legal ecommerce partner, Vorys, to help Weider clean up the seller landscape and regain Buy Box control. Pattern’s compliance team resolved product classification, regulatory issues, and successfully reinstated previously non-compliant ASINs.

From Transition to Traction in Under 90 Days
After onboarding with Pattern in November 2024, Weider achieved its first 3P sales by January 2025 through a smooth, accelerated transition from 1P to 3P. Pattern strategically managed the sell-down of 1P inventory—preventing Amazon from returning unsold units—while phasing products into 3P in line with sell-through and activation to protect sales momentum. This disciplined approach helped increase Buy Box ownership by 31% in just four months, contributing to a 183% sales lift in Q2 2025. In parallel, Pattern expanded Weider’s marketplace presence by launching five new products on Amazon DE and reactivating 11 previously non-compliant ASINs, strengthening product availability, visibility, and long-term growth potential.
