Challenge
Bosch Home Comfort faced challenges in its international expansion efforts
Bosch Home Comfort, was primarily operating as a 1P seller on Amazon managing various sub-departments including Home and Garden, Power Tools, and Smart Home. However, the division faced challenges in its international expansion efforts, especially in expanding to new marketplaces and launching new products. Shifting from offering predominantly B2B products to launching more B2C products the division needed to optimise processes in new product development whilst remaining compliant with Amazon's compliance policy. Limited resources also made it harder for Bosch’s to create marketplace-optimised content—particularly localised imagery critical for product listings.
Solution
Reduce complexities in Bosch’s ecommerce operations
Pattern’s main priority was to reduce complexities in Bosch’s ecommerce operations. Our vast team of ecommerce experts were able to ensure a smooth process of transitioning Bosch from a 1P to a 3P selling model by handling all of the logistics and operations. We assessed and improved the brand’s retail readiness with data from our Predict software, ensured Bosch’s new and existing products were compliant in Europe, and launched 28 new products into 13 new marketplaces around Europe in 18 months, including 9 Amazons across Europe, Otto, eBay (UK/DE), bol, CDiscount. Our unique advertising model meant that we were able to align internally on ASIN level inventory to make quick decisions on how best to allocate the advertising budget and proactively adapt to shifts in product demand due to changes in seasonality. By handling all of the onboarding materials, content, and advertising required for the new product launches, Bosch was able to focus on new product development and other business goals.
